Faith Steps. One at a time.

Since we found out we're parents to another boy we've prayed about our next step. What a blessing it was to be matched with our child before traveling. What a blessing for God to hand him to us and trust us to parent him. What a blessing. We feel God has shown so much faith in us, we need to return the favor. So we've prayed and decided one of us needs to go to him. We need to show our lawyer and the orphanage we are committed to him. We need to show them we are willing to work on his behalf. One of us needs to get to him and love on him. We need to cuddle him and whisper in his ear he is loved. Tell him that even if we aren't there physically, he has a Father who loves him a whole lot more than we do. We want to tell him how wanted he is. Oh how I really just want to squeeze his cheeks!

After lots, and I mean LOTS of prayer, we've decided it's best if I go. Don't worry, I'm not going myself... my dear friend, Jade, has graciously offered to pick up from her life here to go with me. Thankfully she knows the ins and outs of Ug*nda. ( you can read about her journey here) I cannot express what a blessing Jade and Nathan have been to our family during this entire journey. They have given so much, prayed so much, and been our biggest cheerleaders. So.so thankful!

Today, we've taken a faith step. Tickets have been bought. We're praying, knowing God will be faithful. We know our funds will be provided. We're praying for protection over this trip. We're praying for Jade and I's families while we are away. We're praying knowing God will be faithful in bringing Love home in His perfect timing.

We are flying out on the 30th of September and will return the 9th of October. We will be staying at the orphanage and would love to take as many donations as possible. Here is a list of items the orphanage is always in need of:

* baby formula milk,
* diapers,
* baby wipes,
* Miltonsterilizing tablets,
* disposable gloves,
* plastic toys,
* durable books
* shoes for the toddlers, among others
