There is someone special I would like you to meet.....

Here is the peanut that stole our hearts. Meet our sweet Edna:

Edna is 6 months old right now. She is in Eastern Europe and my arms ache for her. We are anxious, so anxious, to get her home. Not only because we want to love her, tell her she's special.wanted.cherished, to give her so many kisses, or to rock her to sleep, but also because she is in urgent need of heart surgery. Not all the walls formed correctly in her heart. Due to the defect, her oxygenated and de-oxygenated blood are mixing, making it harder to get oxygen through her body. My sister had a similar defect and had surgery when she was 4 months old. Oh, how we are praying that we can get her home before surgery happens.  We want to know she is getting the best care possible. We long to snuggle her has she recovers.

Right now we are in the process of getting our homestudy updated. Once that's done, we will get our biometric fingerprints done again, compile our dossier, all while raising funds. The court system we will use in Eastern Europe does not accept any new dossiers from November through February. Our prayer is that we will be paper ready and funded so we can submit all our paperwork as soon as they open in February so we can be assigned a court date. The sooner we do that, the sooner we travel. The sooner we travel, the sooner we get her home and healthy. 

This process is very similar to Solomon's adoption, but this time around, we are blessed to be able to use the services of Reece's Rainbow. They have a facilitation team in Ukraine that will be able to help us through court and our stay. Also, all money donated to Edna through RR is tax deductible. We will be able to use the money raised through RR for our air fare, stay, and legal fees. 

The Lord has blessed us so much already. He has confirmed Edna is ours over and over. We're thankful to all of you who have listened to His promptings to help us in many ways.
