Our faith and hopes are in Him

There's been quite a set back in the adoption community. President Putin of Russia has signed a ban that will keep US families from adopting children from Russia. Currently there are about many, many families that have started their adoption process and now are on hold. Not knowing when or if they will get to hold the sweet children who have stolen their hearts. Children that were told they were loved.wanted.had a family. These children were told they have parents that will come back for them. It's heart wrenching to think of all the mamas and papas who's hearts are breaking in two. Half here, half there. with no way to get to the ones they love.

So, I'm asking that you pray. Please pray for these children. Pray for their hearts and minds to be protected. Pray for these parents. Pray for their hearts. Pray for peace over them. Pray for wisdom. Pray for the children already here who thought they were getting a new brother or sister. Most of all, Pray for President Putin. Pray for his heart to soften. Pray that he will realize children are not pawns to be used in political games. There currently is an amendment that may exclude children with special needs from this ban. Pray this amendment goes through!

Please, Please, do NOT look at this situation and think there is nothing you can do. Do not think this doesn't effect you. It DOES! We are all brothers and sisters in Christ and we FIGHT for each other. So, step outside your box, look at the faces of the children, listen to the desperation in the voices of their parents and PRAY.

{Just to clear the air...Our Edna is not in Russia. We are thankful we are still able to move forward in bringing her home, but are grieving and praying with the families who are in limbo.}
