Single Single Double

I love Zumba. My husband might tell you I have a slight addiction. He, actually, will tell you that I probably need to go to a meeting. Have you ever done Zumba? It's just so darn fun! Pluuuus, it's beyond a great workout! Seriously, wait till you see pictures of my instructors. Holy.Cow. I go as often as I can so that maybe, just maybe, one day I will look like them. Since I love Zumba sooo much, I thought "Hey! What better way to raise money for our adoption than with Zumba?" So, the Zumba-athon was born, and it happened last night. Yesterday was a beautiful day and I was soo excited to see what kind of a turn out we would have. And wouldn't you know it, an hour before we were to start, we had the worst weather possible. Torrentiall down pours, ridiculous winds, hail. Really? I totally believe it was the devil trying to ruin our plans and my mood. Well, I didn't let him! We still had a decent turn out and we are now a little closer to being able to go to Uganda to see our sweet baby's face! I have to say thank you, thank you, thank you, to those of you who did brave the storm to come and support us! Laura Dodson and Tracy Carey, you guys totally rocked it! Thanks for being such amazing, selfless women! A big thank you to Roseburg Event Center (Toby and Diane Middlesworth) for donating the room for us. It was a perfect place for our first Zumba-athon! *If you have any special events coming up, Roseburg is the perfect place to do it! Annnd they cater!! Seriously, call em! Thanks, also, to Trey for being the money man and Chip for being our awesome sound man! There are no adequate words to say how thankful I am!

A little info for people to see and read while signing in. Thank you to Mandie Joy, Jade, and Kim for the wonderful pictures!

Have to be prepared just in case!

Laura even provided Zumba weights as a door prize!

Two very talented instructors, Tracy and Laura. One day, ladies, one day, I will be just as ripped as you!

My sweet brothers even came out to shake their tail feather! They weren't half bad, either!

Yes, they are always like this! :)

Go, ladies, go! Sally, I won't mention that your arms are doing opposite of everyone else's.

In action!

We're only 1/2 way through!!

Oh.my.word. I love Tracy's face!!

Some of my Awesome family came to support us! I'm so grateful I got to share my love of Zumba with them. I, however, don't think they felt the same way! *please ignore the wet collar. that's what 2 hours and burning 1,000 calories will do to your shirt.

Majority of our group. Some had to leave early, but let me say I appreciate EACH and EVERY ONE of you!

Just a heads up! If you couldn't make it to this Zumba-athon, do not fret! We will be having another one in the fall. Hopefully, this time with no tornadoes!

  1. I'm a Jazzerciser myself and have thought about doing one of these types of fundraisers before we go back to Ug. Did you charge a fee for the fundraiser or just have a donation jar?
