Jesus Calling

"I have promised to meet all your needs according to My glorious riches. Your deepest, most constant need is for my Peace. I have planted Peace in the garden of your heart, where I live; but there are weeds growing there too: pride, worry, selfishness, unbelief. I am the Gardener, and I am working to rid your heart of those weeds. I do My work in various ways. When you sit quietly with Me, I shine the Light of My Presence directly on your heart. In this heavenly Light, Peace grows abundantly and weeds shrivel up. I also send trials into your life. When you trust Me in the midst of trouble, Peace flourishes and weeds die away. Thank Me for troublesome situations; the Peace they can produce far outweighs the trials you endure." - Sarah Young

Hammers and nails

It's no secret that there has been construction going on in the Boswell home. Just walk into my salon and you can smell it. Feel it. See it. It's pretty obvious the Boswell boys men have been working double time. Day by day, making progress. Not a day goes by without something being done to further us along.

However, my friends, it's with an overjoyed heart that I can say our room addition is not the only construction that is happening here. God is working overtime on our hearts. Boy oh boy, is He working hard. He's healing. He's breaking down walls and barriers. He's chiseling away the old us. We're leaving the old us behind and being renewed, made better, in Him. He is taking such ugly parts and making them beautiful. Day by day, He is furthering us along. Down the road He had paved for us long before we existed.  We can look ahead and know, without a doubt, His path is undeniably better than we could have ever imagined. I see His work in our lives day after day. And let me tell you, I have never seen anything more beautiful.

"God is reasonable for whatever He has called you to do. That divine call is in itself God's pledge to provide everything you need to stand in that place and to meet every single one of your responsibilities. If God requires something of you, just the requirement itself is His assurance that the means will be provided." - author unknown

Inspiring, absolutely. Humbling, um yeah. The heart of our Father in the flesh.

These people are astounding. Help pay their sweet baby's ransom.

Ahhhhh.... That new lumber smell

Welp, our construction is well under way. The boys have made great, great progress in just a few days time. In, really, just 2 Saturdays they've managed to:
Tear out all the old walls, ceiling, and attic.

Take the garage door down.
Frame in the doorway from my salon to the garage.
Put the new floor down.

The plumber installed our water and drains.
Frame in the new ceiling.

And are now getting ready to frame the interior walls.
Sheesh..I know right!
When these Boswell men work, they WORK!
Of course, Trenner has needed to be in on all the work as well.
(He wants to be JUST like Daddy. And boy oh boy, would I be proud to raise a son to be the kind of man my husband is.)

And it wouldn't be nearly as much fun without Chip!

In the midst of all of this, my thankfulness is overflowing.
I am so thankful for:
A husband who works hard all day and comes home to work hard all night.
A husband who allows his 3 year old to feel like he's apart of it. (and only gets mad or annoyed occasionally)
A father in law who is both the thinker and the worker. (I see where Trey gets his ability to work hard from)
A brother in law and father in law who not only give up weekends, but week nights, as well, to help out.
A mother in law who takes care of Trenner when things are just too crazy around here. (and makes dinner for Trenner and I and everyone who is here working)
Finally, I'm thankful to God for bringing me into such an amazing family.
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you to:
Mike
Lisa
Chip (and Beth, for giving up your husband for us! oh, and for fixing lunch last Saturday!)
My love, Trey

Truly, I am blessed.

What a beautiful mess I'm in

My house is very rarely ever 'clean'.
Clutter is usually always around.

Very rarely are dishes never in the sink.
Our laundry is NEVER done.
Sometimes, I think this house is just a plain ole mess.
But, it's a beautiful mess.
I'm surrounded by things I love.
Our house is lived in.
It's comfortable.
It's the play yard for a 3 year old BOY.

(if you have a boy, you totally know what I mean!)
Right now the clutter is way more than usual.
But that is due to construction.

And that construction means a new bedroom, bathroom and hair salon.
Another bedroom makes me excited ecstatic for when God will allow us to add to our family.
Yes, sometimes it feels overwhelming.
Then I look around and count my blessings.
I'm thankful for where we are.
I'm thankful for where God has brought us and what He has brought us through.
I'm excited for where He is taking us.
My clean, clutter free mansion awaits.
1st Corinthians 2:9
"No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love Him, but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit."
